California Senate passes bill to prevent homeless people from getting state aid

California is considering a bill that would prohibit people from applying for state housing assistance under the Affordable Care Act if they are homeless.

The Senate on Wednesday passed the bill, which also would ban people from receiving state food assistance and other federal assistance.

The bill is scheduled to be heard in the state Assembly on Thursday.

The state Department of Housing and Community Development has said it is aware of the bill and is reviewing the bill.

The governor has said the bill is needed to ensure that people on the streets can’t be exploited by the housing crisis.
