The American Immigration Lawyers Association has compiled a list of federal agencies that are most dangerous for immigrants, based on data from the federal government’s website.
According to the list, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) come out as the top two, while the Department and Veterans Affairs have the lowest number of federal employees.
The list comes after the White House released a report that found the federal workforce is overstretched.
President Donald Trump has said he is concerned about a federal deficit of $1.3 trillion that could lead to a government shutdown.
The report also said there are about 1.4 million people in the federal system that are eligible for a VA job, but only 2,000 are employed.
The number of veterans employed in the U.S. Army and Air Force has more than doubled in the past decade, the report said.
The VA’s workforce has more workers than all other federal agencies combined.
The White House said in a statement that the report did not include a breakdown of the number of people in each agency, citing a “confidential” document.
It also said the report found that the number, combined with other federal workers, exceeds the number who have a valid VA job.
DHS has had a hard time recruiting veterans.
The agency has struggled to fill positions, said the statement.
DHS, which has the second highest number of applicants for jobs with a salary of more than $200,000, said that more than 7 million people have applied for positions that have yet to be filled.
The department said in its statement that it has been working to hire more veterans in recent years and has an active recruitment program that has received over 5 million applications.
The Trump administration has said it wants to hire 10,000 new veterans per year for the next decade.
It has also made a number of changes to the immigration system to make it more humane and efficient.
However, it has faced opposition from veterans and advocates, including former President Barack Obama and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who said the changes do not go far enough.
“They have to be a real solution for the veterans and the veterans are having a hard enough time finding a job,” Schumer told CNN on Thursday.
The administration has defended the hiring of more vets, saying that it is an effort to fill the jobs that veterans do not have.
DHS did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
