The next iPhone might have an app.
Job seekers are flocking to apps in a wave, according to Axios, and many have found themselves in an app before.
The company cites the number of job postings in the U.S. for “app developers” in the second quarter of 2017, up from 703 in the first quarter.
It says the surge is due to the growing popularity of the iPhone and its ability to provide job listings, and its “connectivity” with apps like Uber.
“Job seekers have been searching for jobs on iOS for years,” Axios quoted former Uber employee Mike Tocci as saying.
“Now that the next version of the phone will be coming out, I think it’s time to see what it’s like to be a job seeker on Android.”
Job seekers in Japan are also eager to have an application, with the number one demand for the app outstripping all other markets, according the Nikkei Asian Review.
